Oprah to Open the New Year in South Africa

Oprah Winfrey is reported to be planning to ring in the new year in South Africa with some of her closest friends.

Nelson Mandela, Gayle King, Julia Roberts, John Travolta and Kirstie Alley are some of the reported 100 friends who will party with Oprah on her South African trip.

Oprah will use the occasion to officially launch her new South African girls school, the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls, which she'll reportedly open in the first week of January 2007.
